Treepurasun - Mission

Treepurasun is into developing training programmes & product development for farming & student community, especially in rural India.We want to develop many programmes in development of Farmers in to  Farmepreneur - converting farmers into entrepreneurs. 

In Treepurasun, we have been organising training programmes & awakening sessions for College students on entrepreneurship. We are specifically designing the programmes like enTREEpreneur & Selfie-Pruner to boost the self-confidence of many graduates with limited skill sets to become Entrepreneurs

Treepurasun, wants to create a level playing field for Rural citizens by providing more opportunities to create more industries & employment by creatively involving villagers in productive activities especially in value addition to every one of the crop produces. Treepurasun wants to take this social challenge of migration to cities in to a professional opportunity where every villager able to earn a sustainable living in the village itself.

Hitherto all the business models are based on cities & the potential available at the village level is still to be tapped to the full potential. This is a socio- entrepreneurship initiative which can translate in to social balance & shall work for overall development of any state.

There is lot of talents available in the rural villages. But to hone the skills, villagers have to migrate to cities, where living conditions are pathetic & unhygienic. In the current scenario of environmental health denigrating at a faster pace, it is for betterment of every part of the society, including the cities, that villagers remain in villages with self sustainable living model. Treepurasun is in the process of creating infrastructure & opportunities for the rural talents to unearth themselves.

Treepurasun happy to see everyday engineers ( who are not academically qualified) but perform bigger engineering feat with much ease with their natural Instinct.

Engineering is there in everyone, only few are naturally able to bring out the talents to surface out.

Farmepreneur - Honey Bee rearing & Honey extraction training at Thiruvannamalai District

Treepurasun made it a reality to conduct a training for farmers at their place in a remote village in Thiruvannamalai district almost the border between Thiruvannamalai & Dharmapuri districts, in a village called Melpachchar on the banks of river thenpennai, where it enters the Thiruvannamalai district.

Melpachchar has only about 1000 households housing about 3000 people who are mainly in to agriculture , goat rearing & fishing. In agriculture except a few people, 99% are in to inorganic farming. Already about 20 odd persons have died due to cancer in this village. So we thought this may be right place start the campaign.

 So what way Honey bee training & natural way farming are connected ?

In Natural way farming or organic farming initially there will be reduction in harvest of produce comparing to inorganic farming method. Hence most of the farmers are reluctant to switch to natural way farming.  To overcome this problem we organised a training for 15 farmers on Honey bee rearing & honey extraction. Due to presence of Honey bees, the cross pollination between male & female part of flowers will happen more easily & it will increase the yield per crop & there by we can get organic produce for healthy living & also additional income through sales of natural honey, wax etc....

Treepurasun CEO Mr. Krishnakumar explained the need for farmers to switch over to Organic / Natural way farming & prevent diseases due to use of pesticides & synthetic fertlisers.

He welcomed the gathering & introduced Mr. Anand from Maduram Natural Honey Farm , Coimbatore gave a detailed inputs of Honey making & why he chose a product to a have longest shelf life on earth. He said if we remove the moisture present in the honey, the honey collected can be there for any number of years.

Mr. Anand practically demonstrated on how to rear the bees & how to identify queen bee, male bee & labour bee & explained their role in honey bees' life ,

were explained in detail in the continuous marathon discussion & practical demonstration training for five hours in a natural environment inside a earthen house.

Farmers helped themselves with inquisitive questions & clarified many of their doubts & gave full cheers & felt excited to start a new dimension in their farming profession.

In today's scenario when farmers are struggling to make their ends meet, it is a prudent move to look for improving the farmer's income. 

Treepurasun is launching this FARMEPRENEUR programme to train & facilitate farmers learn the mechanism to become successful entrepreneur.

1. Value addition Training 

    This is aimed at introducing the value added dimension to every farm produces by enabling farmers do value addition to pulses, grains , herbs etc....

2. New additional supplement activities :

In addition to the existing farm produces , if farmers are able to do some additional or supplemental activity without much strain to give them additional income, TREEPURASUN, is organizing many such programs.

3. Nammazhwar Natural Farming Fertilizers Project

Many farmers are using synthetic fertilizers as organic fertilizer is not available to use.

Synthetic Fertilizers & pesticides are available in even in remotest corner. Government of India's initiative to wide spread the use of natural fertilizers will be possible if more farmers are trained to manufacture Natural fertilizers &insect repellents to produce high quality healthy grains.

In this project, farmers, farm labourers are giving training in handling cows & bulls preferably Indian Native breeds to produce cow dung based fertilisers & many other value added products.

This project has been named after Renowned Farming Scientist Dr. Nammazhwar , who spent his life in spreading the message of Natural way of living, organic food & healthy living.

This is a Normal Bicycle powered by solar panel designed by a Rural Scientist in Madurai District of Tamilnadu.

Treepurasun is on the process of preparing a proposal to support this self taught scientist to become an entrepreneur & start setting up an manufacturing unit & produce solar powered bicycles.
